How we Work

Our safaris have come to represent the pinnacle of African experiences for many reasons. One is our certainty in the importance of a two-way commitment. Once you commit to travelling with us, we in turn commit to designing and delivering an extraordinary safari that exceeds your every expectation. We take on the role of trusted advisor—your address book contact for all your travel planning. 

Our focus is very much driven by the areas we recommend and what travelling to this area affords in the way of experiences.  We’ve steered away from overwhelming lists of every property, destination and experience based on algorithms. Instead, our safaris are human. This is how we work:

The details

We understand you need to trust us before doing business with us, and we’re happy to connect and answer your initial questions. Then, when the time comes to hone your specific safari concept, we request a design and research deposit of US$500 that will be applied towards your booking. This allows us to put your preferred choice of properties on hold, securing the best available rates and offers. If for any reason you do not confirm and book your reservations with us within 3 months of your initial request, this fee is not refunded. Consider it payment for the work and research we’ve done on your behalf.

Proper safari planning takes quality time and serious research. Our loyal clients deserve our full focus, time and expertise. We want to devote our time to clients who are serious about travel – those who understand and appreciate the level of commitment, professionalism and expertise that we offer. This is how we ensure that when you book with Passage to Africa, you receive the excellent service, care and respect you deserve.

There is no booking fee on subsequent trips. From your very first adventure with us you become part of our travel circle, with access to unpublished locations, research scholars and sometimes even press trips.
