Step 1 of 5 - Destinations

  • If not, which other countries have you visited?

Africa is no weekend destination

Africa is no weekend destination. With safaris, wildlife treks, waterfall hikes, and a whole lot of other bucket list items to offer, it warrants a nice long stay to get the most out of your trip. Passage to Africa specializes in Africa’s most beautiful and unique experiences from walking among gorillas and taking in a wildebeest migration to climbing Victoria Falls and sitting in ‘Devil’s Pool.’ They make it very possible to go from mundane work day to impulse flight booking in 15 seconds. Check them out.

GO NOMAD

Chad is one of the rare success stories in the fight against elephant poaching. I traveled with Passage to Africa to see what’s happening on the ground in Zakouma National Park. While there, we traveled to a nomad camp just outside the park’s boundaries – just the second group of Westerners ever to visit. Not only were we greeted as friends, plans were made for the next visiting group (in six months or so) to share a meal. A distinct advantage to an under-visited country is the authenticity of the experience.

Traveller24

It’s important that ethical safari operators like Passage to Africa convey the right message to tourists: that we are transparent, that we don’t greenwash and emotionally manipulate, that we offer experiences that engage with conservation in a meaningful way. If you have any ethics, you have no choice but to reject any other type of offering. The time of ‘we didn’t know’ is over.
